Our 2012 race is November 17th at 4:00pm

We invite the entire community to a celebration of sight, sound, and fellowship at Chick-fil-A and Raffield Tire Master at Riverside Pkwy. and Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. in north Macon. Following the afternoon 5K a spectacular lighting of more than 45,000 twinkling & sparkling Christmas lights and decorations synchronized to heartwarming music of the season.  Participants will run a course and be cheered by family, friends, and well-wishers.

Runners and walkers who complete the 5K are eligible for medals, based on fastest completion times for their respective age categories, which are listed below.

Overall male & female winner; top male & female masters; top 3 males & females in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69; 70 and over. Medals will be issued immediately after race. 
  
Additional pre-race and post-race activities will take place at Chick-fil-A and Raffield Tire Master, including photo opps with one of the famous Chick-fil-A cows, games, music, medal ceremonies, and more. Even if you aren't running or walking in the race, there will be plenty of opportunities to have a good time and support Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.

The 2012 Light More Homes 5K run/walk is open to the entire community. Whether you're a serious, casual, or first-time participant, this 5K is great fun and a great way to support the community. Information about registration, packet pick-up, and same-day activities is listed below.

2012 race route

This year's route!  The route will begin at/near the Tom Hill Senior Blvd. Chick-fil-A and will proceed through the lower end of Kroger/KMart parking lot to Northside Dr.  Turn right onto Northside Dr., right on Elnora Dr., right on Northcrest Blvd., right on Riverside Dr.,right on Riverside Pkwy. with course repeating a second loop. Try to run route in advance (or drive it while enjoying a Chick-fil-A milkshake) to get a sense of the terrain. There are some long, low hills that may surprise you!
